In an age where families seek clarity, character, and Christ-centered formation, the Courage Under Fire Gala, scheduled for May 22–23, 2025, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, places Catholic education and family leadership at center stage. The event champions Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) — the only nationally accredited classical homeschool hybrid in the Catholic tradition.
Rooted in the belief that parents are the primary educators of their children, RCA equips families with the tools, community, and curriculum to lead boldly and educate faithfully. The gala supports RCA’s mission to form students not only intellectually but spiritually — drawing them toward eternal truths while preparing them for joyful, purposeful lives.
“Catholic education is not merely about what our children learn, but who they become,” said Alissa Walsh, organizer of the Courage Under Fire Gala. “Through the classical tradition and Catholic formation, we’re raising up saints, scholars, and servant leaders. Colleges like Benedictine College, Franciscan University of Steubenville, the University of Dallas, and Ave Maria University consistently recognize the strength of our students and the integrity of our mission.”
Celebrating Leaders in Faith, Family, and Freedom
The gala brings together national speakers who model truth, courage, and clarity. These men are role models for the next generation — leaders willing to speak when silence is the easier path.
Attendees will hear from:
- Mike Schmitz
Host of “The Bible in a Year” and “The Catechism in a Year,” Fr. Mike is beloved for his dynamic preaching and compassionate approach to sharing Catholic truth with all generations. - Kirk Cameron
Actor and producer known for “Growing Pains,” “Fireproof,” and “Lifemark.” He is an outspoken advocate for family discipleship and Christian education. - Matt Walsh
Author, filmmaker, and commentator behind “What Is a Woman?” and “Am I Racist?” — the year’s No. 1 documentary. His bold style sparks national dialogue on family and truth. - Michael Knowles
Best-selling author of “Speechless,” Yale graduate, and podcast host known for defending faith and reason in media and academia. - Harrison Butker
NFL star and three-time Super Bowl Champion with the Kansas City Chiefs. He is known for his public commitment to faith, family, and integrity.
“These speakers reflect the best of what Catholic education inspires — truth-telling, humility, and strength,” Walsh added. “They remind us that faith and formation must lead every part of life — in the classroom, on the field, and in the public square.”
The Mission of Regina Caeli Academy
Regina Caeli Academy serves Catholic families across the country by offering an accredited classical education in a part-time, in-person format that allows students to thrive academically while remaining anchored in the home. Students learn in the Catholic tradition, forming virtue, logic, and love of truth alongside their studies.
“At RCA, we are not raising followers of culture — we are raising leaders in truth.”
